Ceiling mounted antenna is a type of mobile communication system antenna mainly used for indoor signal masking.
Outdoor signal masking uses plate antennas with high power, strong signal, and long coverage distance;
Relatively speaking, indoor concealment, such as in venues, hotels, office buildings, cinemas, residential buildings, etc., requires the use of indoor distributed systems for concealment. A ceiling mounted small antenna is used, which has a relatively beautiful appearance and does not affect indoor visibility. The power is small, and it can be used to cover the interior of one floor.
On ordinary antennas, there will be brand trademarks of China Mobile or China Unicom, and it is easy to tell whose system is covering them up. The white downward cap is the antenna body, radiating signals outward. The upward curved rope is the feed line, guiding signals from the mobile base station to the antenna.
Principle:
The internal structure of the ceiling antenna, although small in size, is based on the theory of antenna broadband. With the help of computer-aided design and the use of network analyzers for debugging, it can well meet the requirements of standing wave ratio in a very wide working frequency band. According to national standards, the standing wave ratio index of antennas operating in a very wide frequency band is VSWR ≤ 2. Of course, it is better to achieve VSWR ≤ 1.5. By the way, indoor ceiling antennas belong to low gain antennas, typically G=2dBi.
Indoor, due to the inherent shielding effect of building data, the penetration loss of wireless signals is increased, which affects the signal acceptance and call quality of the network. For example, the obstruction of partition walls is 5-20dB, the obstruction of floors is above 20dB, and the obstruction of furniture and other obstacles is 2-15dB.
Usually, in the lower floors of buildings, such as public parking lots, weak signals and inability to use mobile phones properly create blind spots and shadow areas for mobile communication; In high-rise buildings, due to base station antennas or network planning reasons, multiple pilot signals of similar strength are generated, which interfere with each other and cause pilot pollution. In addition, due to the demand for high-speed and high-capacity data transmission, the network may experience stiff or soft blocking.
