Precautions for using built-in antennas

The built-in antenna is widely used in various types of PCB modules due to its compact and exquisite appearance, which does not occupy device space and does not affect product aesthetics. The following are special precautions to be taken when using the built-in antenna:
·The antenna frequency must match the frequency of the wireless device, otherwise the communication effect will be poor;
·The lower the communication frequency and the longer the wavelength, the better the diffraction performance;
·When there is a linear communication obstacle, the communication distance will correspondingly decrease;
·Please pay attention to the radiation direction of the antenna. Incorrect installation direction of the antenna may result in close transmission distance;
·The ground absorbs radio waves, but the testing effect near the ground is poor. It is recommended to increase the height;
·Seawater has a strong ability to absorb radio waves, so the testing effect at the seaside is not good;
·If there are metal objects near the antenna or placed inside a metal shell, the signal attenuation will be very severe;
·Poor impedance matching between antennas and communication equipment can lead to poor communication performance.
